2010 ICCCIA CONFERENCE
Kidwelly, Wales
Overview
The 2010 ICCCIA Conference in Kidwelly, Wales brought together an international
community of iron artists, foundry workers, performers, researchers, and educators
into the historic setting of South Wales. Hosted near the medieval Kidwelly Castle
and surrounding cultural sites, the event highlighted both traditional and contemporary
approaches to iron casting, collaborative art, and performance-based iron work.
The conference included hands-on workshops, technical demonstrations, exhibitions,
and large-scale iron pours. Artists from across Europe, North America, and Asia
contributed to both the creative programming and the evolving dialogue
surrounding cast iron as a global artistic practice.
