Project

French Mountain Studios is collaborating with cast iron artists, faculty, engineers, and foundry experts to develop a new, sustainable furnace and foundry operation to reduce our dependance on and usage of legacy fossil fuels.  We have been researching, designing, and building cutting edge tech for small volume furnace operation, and we have now successfully built and tested multiple furnaces that produce hot iron on a scale and speed approaching that of coke fired furnaces.

"My first experience with ICCCIA was the 6th International Conference in Coalbrookdale at Ironbridge, and it's been a wild ride ever since! Many thanks to the leaders of the cast iron art movement then and now to help shape so many of our pathways, and groom future leaders for the movement."
